Growers, irrigators, crop consultants, and agricultural professionals are invited to attend the Irrigation and Nutrient Management Field Day on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Sand Plain Research Farm in Becker.
The event will run from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. and will feature University of Minnesota researchers sharing updates from current field research related to irrigation, nutrient management, potato production, soil fertility, crop protection, and more.
Field day topics will include potato breeding, controlled release fertilizer evaluation, integrated precision potato management systems, deficit irrigation in potatoes, irrigation and tillage impacts in corn and soybeans, long-term nitrogen research, Verticillium wilt resistance, and insect behavior management.
Featured speakers include Laura Shannon, Carl Rosen, Vasu Sharma, Megan McCaghey, Fabian Fernandez, Ashish Ranjan, and Ian MacRae.
