The impact of irrigation on Minnesota’s economy not just to the farmer, but also the rural communities where irrigation takes place in Minnesota is significant. IAM wants to spread the message that farmers who irrigate are working hard to be good stewards of our natural resources.
Alan peterson, former iam president
Irrigated agriculture is an important part of Minnesota’s economy.
Membership supports new science based research on irrigation management as well as lobbying efforts connecting irrigators to legislators. As our state becomes more urbanized, we face a real threat that laws will be enacted that severely restrict our ability to irrigate.
About Us
IAM is a statewide association solely concerned with irrigated agriculture and dedicated to the management of Minnesota land and water resources.
